Why this exists.
Most clinical references treat advanced practice providers like generalists. Pocket guides assume a resident-level reader. Apps stop at consumer education. None of them speak to an APRN at the bedside who needs the latest guideline, fast, with the clinical decision points already extracted.
I built this because I have lived that gap. As a practicing CNM in a hospital-based laborist role, I have flipped through outdated pocket cards. I have wished for a single, evidence-based, APRN-level reference that I could trust without re-verifying every claim.

Sandra Golaszewski is a practicing certified nurse-midwife with hospital-based laborist experience. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University and has practiced across inpatient and outpatient settings.
She built Birth Science Unpacked because the existing references did not meet the needs of APRN-level clinicians who require fast, evidence-based guidance at the point of care.
Every condition in this reference is sourced from leading professional and clinical guideline bodies, then translated into structured, bedside-ready clinical decision support.

Every condition and topic in this reference is built from current professional and clinical guidelines published by authoritative bodies. Content is reviewed and updated regularly to reflect current evidence and guideline revisions. A last revision date appears on every condition page so clinicians can assess recency at a glance.
Update schedule
